New renders of Apple iPad Mini 6 is here!
Updated: Jan 22, 2021

Apple released the iPad 5 two years back and now the rumours about the 6th Generation iPad mini 6 is surfacing.
New CAD renders have delivered a detailed look at the iPad mini 6 and its design is a variation from its predecessor.
Now, Pigtou and @xleaks7 have published renders of what they have named as the iPad mini 6. According to the renders, it has been based on leaked CAD drawings of the tablet, so they should be close to accurate articulations of Apple's final output.
The renders show that the iPad mini 6 will have a 9.15-inch display, but its high screen-to-body ratio means that the tablet will only measure 203.2 x 134.8 mm. Additionally, the tablet will only be 6.25 mm thick.
Pigtou and @xleaks7 speculate that Apple will integrate a Touch ID fingerprint scanner within the tablet's display, which would be another first. It is unclear how Apple will do this though because it means one of two things. On the one hand, Apple could furnish the iPad mini 6 with an OLED screen, which would be a recompense screen technology than it uses in the iPad Pro. On the other hand, an LCD screen would need a cut-out for a built-in fingerprint scanner, which may look unsightly.

Past rumours have also indicated that the iPad mini 6 will support the Apple Pencil and will utilise a USB Type-C port, but these renders do not offer a confirmation about these aspects. Furthermore, the iPad mini 6 is anticipated to arrive with an A14 Bionic SoC, although it is unclear when Apple's next budget tablet will debut.
Anyway, do take this news with a pinch of salt as aforementioned.
