HIBERNATION feature on Android 12 uncovered!

According to Mishaal Rahman of Android Police, the upcoming Android 12 may have a new 'Hibernation' feature that reduces the size of apps that are not being used. The apps go into a deep sleep so that the system will recognise the storage space it takes up as available and optimises its use.

Based on the image, the system clears the cache for the app. This can save up quite a bit of space depending on the app. It is still in the air for the downloaded data though, as that's how apps like games take up so much space. Android 11 preview arrives on February last year, so the Android 12 preview could be revealed around the same time.

The details about Android 12 will be known soon, but what are the updates you want to see, let us know!
